Ireally need to make up my mind if i am doing Nats this year!!! Next year I age up to 70 & I can q times into 6 events. This year as the oldest in my age group - I q time into only two. Thoughts ???
With 2 qualifying times, you can swim 5 events. Why not go for it and get some really good times to qualify for next year in your new age group. Should be a good meet at a lovely venue. I'm going.
Does anyone know if they might open up more blocks of rooms for the hotel on the shuttle route? I tried to make reservations today, and there are none left. :badday: Some of the hotels (on the shuttle route) still have rooms available, but they are much more expensive than the USMS rooms.
Did you try calling the hotel directly? When I was looking for hotels for LC Nats in Maryland last year, all the hotels were "sold out" when I looked online, but once I called requesting the room block, everyone had space.

WARNING: For all of you planning on attending Nationals in San Antonio, book your hotel room (and rental car if not on shuttle route) NOW. Fiesta is a HUGE event in San Antonio, and hotels will be packed and expensive, especially downtown. I know, because I lived in San Antonio for over four years. Trust me on this. :2cents:
Please post which hotels you attempted to make a reservation with. It's worth exploring to see if perhaps the block can be expanded, since rooms are now being booked.

I tried Comfort Inn Six Flags, Wyndham Garden, Fairfield Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott, and Drury Inn. I ended up with a room at Fairfield Inn but not with the USMS rate.

Is that the one in Westover Hills? If so, I used to live right down the street from there in the Stonegate Hill subdivision.
