Anyone planning to attend Nationals in Omaha? If it wasn't for the venue, I would swim at SCY Nationals. You got to admit, competing in the Olympic Trials pool merely a few hours after Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps made a splash is awesome!
Weird things happen,so no guarantees,but I already have my hotel room.I wouldn't be surprised if this was the biggest LCM Nats ever.
Likewise on the hotel. But I'm not sure it will be the biggest ever. Early July is not an ideal date. Not much time for long course training and smack in the middle of the summer swim season if you have kids. Also, for people with families, adding in trials is way too many days away. On the other hand, it is in the center of the country.
I've booked a hotel room but haven't yet booked flights or done my meet entry. But I am definitely going. My 19 year old son will also be going with me so I'm really looking forward to this meet. We had a lot of fun together in Mesa last year.
If you are on the fence about attending the Summer Nationals... we will have autographed memorabilia from the Olympic team that will be given away during the Summer Nationals. If you are legal age, adult beverages will be available at the concession stands.
If come out for the Trials, stop by and visit our USMS exhibit in the AquaZone. While we won't have the biggest or most expensive exhibit, we will have the most fun exhibit with our USMS backstroke flags set up for "goggle toss" to win prizes.

That's awesome, Rob. People are going to love that!
My only issue is getting a decently priced flight (which was difficult when I was trying 6 months ago and earlier). Not only are the Olympic Trials going on during that time, but its the 4th weekend and the College World Series too.
Still on the fence myself.

Gather all competitors into a single room from which they cannot leave. Approximately 1 hour before the start of the race, hand out six :chug: to everyone, which must be completed prior to the race. Then after everything settles into place. Line 'em up, and watch 'em go!! :applaud:
