I haven't seen a thread yet for this so I thought I'd start one. I'll be there the 13th-17th and doing all the free's (sans 1650), 50 & 100 back, and 3 relays....gonna be a full plate!
Looking forward to starting my taper in a couple days and then enjoying some fast swimming, sun and surf, and a cocktail or two.

monday was last day of weights, krav maga, pilates reformer and trainer for me. it takes a village for me. i feel like crap in pool though. when will i feel good.?:chug:
You'll have to stop by and say "hi". I'll be there too - my first Nationals meet of any kind - and my first competition in an outdoor pool. It should be interesting. :D I'm doing the 50, 100, and 200 Free; 50 Back (hopefully the clouds won't be too entertaining!); 50 and 100 Fly; and 100 IM. My goal is to swim PB's in my events (coming off my first ever taper too!) and hopefully finish mid-pack in my age group.
Time will tell....
great facility. fast pool. flags do move in the breeze though:D
I'll be there, except I'm skipping Thursday. I'm doing 100/200/400 IM, 50/100/200 free, and 50/100 ***, plus three relays. I'm getting my money's worth!
My goal is to balance swimming well with drinking a lot of beer. :chug:

Well, flying out of Atlanta tomorrow at 12:20 pm after getting a finally 2000 or so easy yards at the pool. Looking forward to a new Nationals experience for me and meeting my fellow competitors. I kick it off on Thursday AM with the 1000.
My only issue is the timeline. I know warmup opens at 6:30 AM, meet starts at 8AM. But I'm in the final heat of the 1000 (which is after the 1650's). Not sure if they are running both pools at the same time (one women, one men). I just don't want to be there TOO early and sit on the deck for 3 hours before I swim.
Hey Jeff, I'm next to you in the 1000. The odd heats are swum in one course while the even heats are in the other. I figure it will be a good hour after the first heat of Men's 1000 that we'll swim.

So we'll have 13 heats of 1650 (really like 7) and then 10 heats of women's 1000 (really like 5) and 8 heats (really like 4) before us.
I'm probably planning on not showing up at the pool until right when they start or a bit later then. Looking forward to meeting you and swimming, although the 1000 is a stretch for me this season, I'm more focused on 500 and 200 probably.:blah: One of my buddies coming to the meet is in your age group, David Jacobson, he's a stud.
BTW, just finished "clipping" down and packing so when I get in tomorrow I just need to shave down at the hotel before bedtime. :D
