2010 SCY Nationals - TIMELINE

Does anyone have a "ballpark" time as to when Saturdays session might end? I just need a rough estimation. Thanks!
  • The time line is only an estimate and the actual progress of the meet may run faster or slower. All swimmers are responsible for showing up for their assigned heat/lane for each event regardless of the time that heat goes off. Jim- Is the meet going to be conducted in two pools? If so, how will the heats be divided? I had assumed it would be men / women - but the time line looks like the men/women events will be run consecutively.
  • There are two 10 lane courses in the pool. The odd heats will be run in one course and the event heats in the other course.

    Sucks that I'm in Lane 10 for 2 events!:bitching:

  • Sucks that I'm in Lane 10 for 2 events!:bitching: I'm in lane 1 for one even and lane 10 for another but you know what - I just did a meet where I was in the outside lanes for 3 of my 6 events and I had personal bests. Swim fast, no matter the lane..... Thanks for getting the timeline out. It's nice to see when the days will end.
  • The estimated time line and heat sheets for all pre-seeded events are now available. Does this timeline confirm, then, that the heats for the 1000 and the 1650 will be mixed heats of men and women?
  • The time line for Thursday assumes that women and men will be seeded together. Not doing so would result in the meet lasting about 40 minutes longer on Thursday.
  • The time line for Thursday assumes that women and men will be seeded together. I see that it assumes so; my question is, will they? I would like to know sooner than the morning of the race if possible, because by my rough calculation I would swim about an hour later with mixed heats than I would with single-sex heats.

Sucks that I'm in Lane 10 for 2 events!:bitching: You know the Tech pool, Jeff. There really is no "bad" lane. The only negative is that if you're a one-sided breather (like I am) you'll only see your competition half the time. :) I'm near the outside in most of my events, and I'm going to look at it as a positive -- there will be faster people to push me. And the way you're swimming right now, I'll bet you move way up in finish position within your heat! :)

I actually have done some of my lifetime best swims as an age grouper in lane 1 or lane 10....no worries. If I swim my own race I'll have blinders on anyway.
