OK, it may be over a year away but why not start a thread on 2011 Short Course (Spring) Nationals? This meet will be held at the newly-renovated Kino Aquatics Center in Mesa, which is just east of Phoenix. So go ahead and pipe in, I'm sure we will get some good conversation flowing.
Today I tried to book a room & they are out of Masters rate rooms at the Marriott mesa & the Hyatt place ! I grabbed a room at the regular rate at Marriott Mesa. Will they open more rooms at the lower rate ?
Question about competition pool depth ... I read all the forum posts, and there is mention that the pool is a deep pool, but I would like to know what the depths are for the start and turn ends of the pool in the competition configuration for SCY. Are these ends uniformly at least 2 meters deep?
Thanks ... Jeanne

Are these ends uniformly at least 2 meters deep?Hopefully Paul will chime in, but I've swum here in a few meets and my recollection was that depth was uniform (or darn close to it) across the whole 50M course. I think the depth is easily 2M.
Hotel rooms booking fast:By all means, please support the hotels, but, if you've got a larger group of people, check out www.vrbo.com for house/condo rentals. The greater Phoenix area has huge numbers of short term rental properties and the timing of Nationals is getting towards the end of our 'snowbird' season so you might be able to find a good deal.
Note: I have no vested interest in any rental property, but have had friends and family find good places here and have personally rented a number of times in other cities via VRBO. I find being in a place where I can make my own meals better for longer stays than hotels.

It is over 2M deep throughout, you will enjoy swimming in it!

I was at the pool tonight for a kids' meet. Pool depth varies somewhat, but I saw 6'7" as the shallowest up to 7'2", but they had the deepest part covered with tarps. Regardless, it's deep and fast.
