Sports Medicine & Science Presentations

For several years the USMS Sports Medicine and Science Committee has been arranging presentations that are given during national championship meets. Leading professionals provide information on various sports science and medicine topics. The committee is interested in finding out what medical and scientific topics related to swimming, training, and health you are interested in hearing about. Please post your requests and we will design upcoming presentations around the most popular topics. Thanks for your input. Jane Moore, MD Chair, USMS Sports Medicine and Science Committee Hi Jane, I have a difficult time attending the National meetings and miss out on these interesting presentations. I would like to be able access the past (and future) presentations through the website. I think this would be an invaluable service to the 40,000+ USMS members as well. Is it possible to collect past presentations and post them to main site? I know that the USA Swimming website has a large number of interesting sports medicine, training, psychology and race analysis documents that are freely available (under the coaching tab). As far an interesting research topic, may I suggest an investigation into effects of menopause on performance of female masters swimmers? Regards, Philipp
