I understand that USMS swimmers may enter the 2006 FINA masters meet in San Francisco online beginning January, 2006. If I age up during that year (i.e. from 41-44 to 45-49) on October 11, 2006, is it true that I will not be able to enter the meet until I swim a LC meet in 2006? Most LC meets are later in the year and the deadline for registration may be over. Can short course converted times be used in this case? Any other suggestions?
Hi Barry,
Thank you for your kind reply. I look forward to visiting your great State next year to swim at the meet at Stanford. As a beginning swimmer, I am still in the "youthful zeal" phase of the swimming sport. Improvement is slow and steady. Since I am not a natural at the sport, it requires hard work and discipline. I have a new found appreciation of what other athletes sacrifice to be proficient in swimming.
Best regards,
Roger
