I am interested in what the time standards are for short course nationals. Where would I find this information? I don't think anyone on my team has ever been and I would like to see as many of us as possible qualify in 2004. The other local clubs just say it's a blast and I think it's a great long-term (1.5 years is long when you are my age :p ) goal! Can some one send me in the right direction?
The actual qualifying times for each year's Nationals are calculated that year, based on times during the previous three years. They're publishedin Swim Magazine along with the Nationals entry form (around February or March).
But you can enter up to three individual events, without meeting the times -- they only apply if you enter more than three events. So everyone in your club, who wants to, can go whether or not they meet the times.
