Ron Johnson/Arizona SCM State Meet

Is going to be November 9-11 at ASU.....great time to come to Arizona! Info is posted now at: www.sundevilmasters.org
  • Mel, The ASU men's team has a dual meet with UCLA that day so they have to start later.....early still November temps that time of the day average in the 70s so quit whining! That guy sitting next to me is a renowned drug dealer...hence my close proximity as I heard he has much stronger stuff than the advil I need to get out of bed every day! More importantly...who's the babe he's hanging out with? :smooch:

Paul, too bad the Saturday events don't start until 5 p.m. That's just too late for the time of year. It could be late and very cold with no place to hide out. We had planned on coming until we saw the schedule. Guess we'll find another meet instead. By the way, who's the goofy guy sitting next to you in your Avatar?

Paul, As UCLA unfortunately dropped their men's team years ago, does that mean ASU men's team is swimming the women of UCLA?

The PDF for the november meet says march on it when you open it. Bad link. I've got relatives in Scottsdale so maybe I'll show up.

The pdf on sundevilmasters.org is incorrect (it's for a prior meet), but I was able to find it on the azlmsc.org site www.azlmsc.org/.../2007SCMStateMeetFlyer.pdf I think I'll go.
  • For those worrying about having to swim Saturday afternoon and then get up Sunday to swim again ... get over it. You'll get plenty of rest. It just means you might not be able to have that fifth beer at the Saturday dinner.

For those worrying about having to swim Saturday afternoon and then get up Sunday to swim again ... get over it. You'll get plenty of rest. It just means you might not be able to have that fifth beer at the Saturday dinner. Great for you Jeff since you're in the neighborhood, but when you have to pay $500+ for two airline tickets it definitely makes a difference. I'm going somewhere else... By the way, it's not Saturday afternoon, it's Saturday evening (5 p.m. start, with the 200 BR the last event). It's not swimming again Sunday that's the problem. I've lived in AZ enough to know that it can be really cold that time of year after the sun sets. The last time I swam there (two years ago), it was dang cold even in the middle of the day. I don't believe you were there for that meet. No, I won't get over it, I'll just wait until it's at a more reasonable time for those of us who come from CO. But, thanks for the encouragement.
