This year the course will go north from Captain Don's Habitat Resort along Bonaire's shores and above the reefs that make Bonaire the shore diving capital of the world. This is Caribbean swimming at its best! We are also adding another distance category (3K) so there is something for everyone: we offer a 10K (the new Olympic distance) 5K; 3K and a 1K.

I market to the off island swimmers in the US and elsewhere. The tourism office handles on island marketing. This year we had several swimmers from Alaska, California, Illinois and some 15 states.
The date does vary from Oct to Dec. In 2008 we are looking at Dec 6th. I'll announce it here when all is confirmed.
It is well worth the trip to swim in these spectacular waters.....
