No one mentioned that the race is hosted by two Elvis impersonators for the perfect Vegas touch. Fun event and well organized.

By the time I learned of this event, it was really too late for me to do anything about it, but I am looking forward to it next year :)!!!

I swam the 8k and was in heaven! Loved this race. Great conditions. The water was warmer than I'm used too since I train in our cold Utah mountain reservouirs. 70 degree water is a warm day for me. Race was well planned out, no guess work at all. I would also tell everyone to plan on this race next year. Well worth the 6 hour drive for me.

the venue is wonderful at the Las Vegas swim and I recommend the swim as a destination event. You must go to Zion National Park. I am chomping for a swim in culver, indiana though. lake maxinkuckee looks like a wonderful venue too. : ))

Well, I thought it was too hot but I am morbidly obese...lots of fast swimmers. Next may they will have the national championship there for ? 10K and I'm betting will be loaded with competition.
