Anyone have any recommendations for decent accommodations for MIMS? It has to be more than just sleeping on a hammock or in a Zodiac as has been suggested by others.

RE: MIMS Accommodation Recommendations?

You might could check in Downtown Jersey City, the prices are considerably less, it's a short PATH subway ride to the WFC complex, and easier to get to EWR if that's how you're arriving/ departing. Heck, some of the escort kayaks come over from there - if you're up for a 2 mile warmup. . .

RE: MIMS Accommodation Recommendations?

Good luck with your MIMS swim.

FYI - do not stay at the white house hostel in the bowery if doing a 26-mile swim...

RE: MIMS Accommodation Recommendations?

Have you tried looking at the hotels link on NYC Swim web site?
www.nycswim.org/.../Hotels.aspx
Like most New Yorkers, it is very helpful:D
Look for something in your price range close to Battery Park.

LOL! You were right. I don't know why I didn't look there first. :-)

RE: MIMS Accommodation Recommendations?

Have you tried looking at the hotels link on NYC Swim web site?
