Perhaps a very dumb question here, but how are age groups determined for USMS open water championships? Is it like FINA, i.e., age as of the end of the year? Or is it your age on the day of the event? Or something else? It's how old you look

Please note, the calendar poster insert in USMS Swimmer Magazine has our date incorrect... the correct date of the 5K is June 23, 2012. The USMS online calendar of events is correct.:banana:

How far is it from Ohare airport? Do they have motels in the area? Noblesville is a suburb of Indianapolis. It would be a pretty long drive from Chicago.

Noblesville's swimming venue, Morse Reservoir, is 193 miles from Ohare. Yes, there are abundant hotels with reasonable prices in the area. Thanks for your interest in the event.:banana: How far is it from Ohare airport? Do they have motels in the area?

Chesapeake Bay. Is Fartanooga on the way to Indiana from here? Is Indiana even a real state? I have no idea where it is. Coming from Charlotte, you go through Knoxville to Indianapolis(0-7 btw) to get to bumbleweed, in. Knoxville is just over an hour from my house. We could meet in Knoxville.
