its sad that i've only swum in chicago twice. it is a beautiful lake... have to schedule another visit soon! It is indeed sad!! you should come here and swim more often. We never have weird tides or adverse conditions of any kind. 'Tis paradise!

Thanks for the write-up! Chicago eyes turned eastward during the night.... You have friends in places you've never been. And how nice to have a smiling co-swimmer warm the night air! Sounds like a very successful swim. :applaud: (Why not come out and swim with us? We're at least as much fun as CIBBOWS.) its sad that i've only swum in chicago twice. it is a beautiful lake... have to schedule another visit soon!

Dave's swim ended after just under 10 hours, with almost one loop completed. He was slowed by a hamstring injury and was unable to reach the Harlem River before the tide change. Nothing is a given in marathon swimming!

It's there, under "2011 Record Attempts" Oh, I see it now. I usually only look at "2011 SCHEDULE". I thought it includes everything.
