Chicago eyes turned eastward during the night.... You have friends in places you&amp;#39;ve never been. And how nice to have a smiling co-swimmer warm the night air! Sounds like a very successful swim.

He was slowed by a hamstring injury and was unable to reach the Harlem River before the tide change.
