Some of the bigger west coast races with age groups. The La Jolla Rough Water swim standard master’s 5-year age groups Newport Beach Pier to Pier – Standard 5-year age groups Tiburon Mile SF Bay 10-year age groups Alcatraz Challenge 10-year age groups If the race has been designated a “National Championship” by United States Masters Swimming (USMS) it will have 5-year age groups. If it is just sanctioned by USMS, it’s up to local director/committee.
