I'm traveling to Cleveland, Ohio, on business from August 25 through august 30. Is anyone aware of open water swim possibilities? Don't know of organized swims, but there is a beach just west of the mouth of the Cuyahoga. It was nice last time I was there. maps.google.com/maps

Summer Open Water Lake Erie (Bay Village) * Facility: LAKE ERIE * Location: Columbia Road Park where Columbia Road dead ends into Lake Road. Parking lot available across from the park on Lake Road. * Schedule: Since swimming is a day-to-day schedule, it is best to call Doug and Marianne Brogan at 440-835-0142(h). * Generally, it's Monday thru Friday at 8:00 a.m., Saturday at 7:10 a.m., Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Brunch to follow swim; bring whatever. * If lake conditions are not conducive to swimming, we may proceed to the OMSC pool practice in nearby Lakewood. Drop-in fees are as follows: $5.00 if you are a member of another OMSC practice group. $8.00 if you are not a member of another OMSC practice group. $25.00 will get you six drop-in swims at the Lakewood Practice.
