Take advantage of the 2-mile lake swim in Charlottesville on July 10. You will make lots of good contacts at the race.

Check out the Richmond Tri Club. They do weekly OWS, Fridays evenings, IIRC

I'll be at the Cable swim. Yes I am a beginner open water swimmer too. Come up to Charlottesville and swim with me.

I believe the RTC sessions are biweekly, and that you need to be a member (but it is pretty cheap to join). Here is the RTC website: www.richmondtriclub.com/ and here is their calendar (which includes the OW training): www.richmondtriclub.com/.../calendar-1 There is one this Friday. Jay Peluso is in charge of the OW swims.
