(Jim McDonnell 1-mile.) I'll be driving there alone. I noticed that "picture ID" required for sign-in. Where does one put there stuff when they are out swimming? (I searched the forums but couldn't find this question

RE: OW swims...where do you put your stuff?

You may want to inquire with the race director to see if they have a gear check-in. Many races have one using your race number to store your stuff while you swim, which is very convenient. Good luck!

RE: OW swims...where do you put your stuff?

Thanks you guys...emailing the race director now.

RE: OW swims...where do you put your stuff?

After you sign in, you can return license to car (if not too far to walk). If I am very concerned, I duct tape key to my swimsuit.
Most events I am familiar with have a sort of place for swimmers to leave backpacks with towels and dry clothes, but it is not necessarily watched, or watched carefully. It's good if there is a swimmer number matching system as described. Otherwise, there is a certain amount of trust involved.
