For anyone interested, there is a new open water swim race in NJ. It will be held this weekend on Long Beach Island, New Jersey in Barnegat Light. It is a mile ocean swim and at 6:30 pm at night.

It is their first annual swim so cannot say

RE: New 1 mile OW swim in NJ this weekend

Hey there.

It was fun low key race and the surh in LBI was the surf in LBI!!! Getting past the breakers was interesting at least for me--but once past that, it was great!

The RD told me that they will be making this race an annual event.

Hope to see you there!

RE: New 1 mile OW swim in NJ this weekend

Thanks for posting this! Can't make it this time around but putting it on my "want to do" list! I LOVE Long Beach Island and spent a lot of vacations in Barnegat Light--as well as Fire Island... two of my favorite beach points!
