The air was colder than the water. I saw that girl crying. I felt bad for her. I did not see her afterwards. I like the new staircase they built to get out of the water. It was much safer than running on the rocks and slime in the other year I did it. Missed ya Leonard and Imspoiled. Sorry I did not get to meet you tjrpatt. I don't know what you look like or I would have tried to say hi.

If you see me at any other meets, I am about 6 feet tall and look more like a Football Middle Linebacker. Plus, I have no idea what alot of people on these threads look like too. I am not built at all like a swimmer. The staircase was new, wow. I was basically able to finish into the steps without touching any rocks. I hear that some of the rocks were pretty sharp.

RE: September Splash, Anyone?

It was a fun day! I was working the awards table if you won any medals I probably gave them to you.
Maybe we will meet up someday. I have been lucky to meet a lot of people here at meets and races.
Happy laps to you.

Ok, I probably got medals from you at that meet. I had a good time at that meet and had some really good swims. See ya at the next meet. I will probably be at SCM Zones and whatever Delaware Valley Meets that are going on. I am thinking of doing the VA Beach Meet but I am still on the fence about it. Next summer, I plan to do more open water swims. Plus, I probably need to invest in a wetsuit for any May, June and July swims.

RE: September Splash, Anyone?

You came to our Terrapin Cup meet in August, right? The water wasn't that cold. There was one part of the course that was pretty cold. I am glad that I got up this morning and went. I felt bad for this one little girl that obviously didn't want to swim the mile race but I think that her parents were forcing her to do it. I think that I could have handled a third time around that course.

RE: September Splash, Anyone?

Swimmy -

I'm still out doing 6 a.m. swims with a group of very cheery diehards. It's night at 6 a.m.! Moon high in the sky!
