I&#39;m swimming an open water 3k in about 3 1/2 weeks. My swimming has peaked out at about 43-4500 yards 4 times per week. Being fairly inexperienced in open water, how should I taper for this? I plan on a few more hard workouts (broken 1650&#39;s and such) and another long straight swim. Additionally I&#39;ll be in St. John in one week so I&#39;ll definitely be getting in open water swims but I&#39;m just not sure how much/long and how hard I should be going in open water and when I get back in the pool that last week. Thanks in advance, I&#39;ve enjoyed reading workouts and advice.<div style="clear:both;"></div>
