The Oceanside Pier Swim was fun,...I bet there were 350 swimmers,...large waves ( maybe 5 feet), spaced out about 90 seconds , and a strong rip behind each of them. Many folks got beat up getting thru them and some quit. I missed the finish line by about 50 yards due to the current,..had to run back up the beach. 27:15 Ron %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% ><>

Tomorrow morning,...the 78th Annual Oceanside California Pier Swim. The pier is the longest pier in California,..around 2000 ft. This will be my 4th pier swim,.....looking to swim it in less than 30 minutes.

OK, I missed registration on the Alcatraz100 so I was wondering if anyone knows of another 1-5K open swim events (either Lake or Ocean) in Washington, Oregon or California before summer ends?
