Does anybody know of a website that lists all open water swims throughout the country?
If not nationally, in the New York City area?

Thanks, Clark

RE: open water swims in the U.S.

I'm not sure of a website that shows open water events but our local masters group is putting on the 1st annual That "Dam" Swim.
It will be 12 miles from Wheeler Dam to Wilson Dam on the Tennessee River. Check out our website: www.shoalssharks.com

For more information. Hope to see you there!

RE: open water swims in the U.S.

Also, for the NYC, NJ, MD areas:

For many swims but not all, try the USMS Long Distance calendar www.usms.org/.../ldcalendar.htm. For New York, try http://www.nycswim.org/events/. For other swims, which may or may not be USMS organized, try active.com at http://www.active.com/active/ .For many swims which may not be found elsewhere, and for some interesting Aussie perspective, and a list of links all over the world, try http://www.oceanswims.com/. Some swims also show up on zone calendars for USMS and not on the Long Distance calendar, but those sites and their links should help you.

Have fun.

RE: open water swims in the U.S.

I don’t know of any website that lists all open water swims. The USMS.org site contains a good list of places to swim. You could also check out the Jew Jersey, Metropolitan and Connecticut LMSC web sites.
