Hopefully we can get this rule changed at convention for future international meets following FINA guidelines. Seriously, there is something wrong when someone can have a top 5 time in the World but, they can't make TT in the US. Just saying.

Not sure who did it, but they are in there. Thank you very much. It's nice to be able to see the times/splits/etc. along with our other meet results...even though. Thanks go to Jayhawk (Anna Lea) for hunting them down and uploading them. The meet hosts also separated out the USMS members, which was nice.

I understand why it shouldn't count for TT or records and I'm perfectly fine with that also. Especially since they use a reversible current in the pool while we're swimming. The trick is being able to pace yourself with the yellow line superimposed on top of us during the race to be even faster! :banana:

The results have been added to the database. www.usms.org/.../meet.php Not sure who did it, but they are in there. Thank you very much. It's nice to be able to see the times/splits/etc. along with our other meet results...even though: This event was held in a pool that did not meet the pool measurement standards or not all sanction/recognition standards were followed. Results from this event will not count towards the top ten list or event rankings Hopefully we can get this rule changed at convention for future international meets following FINA guidelines.

At least my 6 TT times from Montreal did not die in vain. Not a major concern, at least for me. I've got 1 or 2 or maybe more opportunities for SCM swims this fall.

No, because FINA does not require measurements to verify bulkhead placement for masters WRs. I didn't see it, but someone at the meet told me the pool was measured on Saturday.

USMS Top Tens or not...I swam fast and felt really good about it! :applaud: And my awards look really cool too. :banana: I also loved talking about SCY experiences to the :canada: and most were completely confused. Same with temperatures in degrees F, and weight in Pounds, speed in MPH. :chug:

Chris, I also brought the pool measurement form and had the meet referee fill it out. I will submit it. We will see if it's acceptable. I'm merely the messenger in this case since I didn't personally measure the pool. Chris, I sent you a P.M. about this prior to reading all this new info as well. But I also did hear about the pool being measured 1 or 2 of the days there as well. We will see.

Yeah...the 400 IM was...well...uh... :afraid: At least for me. I was flat out exhausted. I couldn't get revved up in the fly, and during the backstroke I caught a glimpse of one other lone swimmer near the tail of the pack with me (Kirk). At that point my goal was to stay ahead of him...and if there was another 50 to go, I'm sure Kirk would've caught me! We had waited about 8 hours from the end of the 400 Free until we swam this one, so it is what it is. I'll be ready tomorrow!

Thanks. It was only a race on paper since James swam in my lane in the heat before mine. I knew what I had to do to beat him, but he set the bar pretty high! I'm happy with that swim, but man was it painful. I don't usually take it out that fast. I think it was good that I didn't hold back, but I definitely felt it on the back half. Yes, Thanks Karl!! I was surprised by my time as well, and very happy about it as well. As I was watching Kirk swim his race afterward I secretly wanted to beat him. ;) It is cool how close our two swims were now that we can see the splits on paper. He ended up 5th overall, and I was 6th overall. Each age group we were 2nd place though. Oh...and my 400 didn't hurt at all!! :D But I think there's a difference in mentality going on when you're leading your heat vs. middle of the heat like Kirk was. 400IM is coming up... :applaud:
