Both Phoenix and Sun Devil will be a trek from Apache Junction, but they also both have mid-day workouts so if you find yourself in a different part of town, those give you great options.

Make sure you also check out the Arizona State / Southwest Zone meet (www.azlmsc.org/events.htm) as a tune-up meet for Nationals.

RE: Apache junction Master Swimming

I'd shoot Paul an email a month or so before you come to let him know you're interested and see what payment options they have. I'd bet there's other snowbirds who come here, I just don't know it.

There's pools closer to AJ, even in AJ, but I don't know of any masters teams out there. If you come to morning workout, it shouldn't be more than a 20 min drive, depending where in AJ you'll be. I always think of Idaho and the US 60, near where the fun part of the Apache trail begins.

RE: Apache junction Master Swimming

directly from the USMS, "Places to swim," on this website--
