A lot of people let themselves get annoyed over Comic Sans, especially these guys: http://bancomicsans.com/main/ They point out Safari has an extender that turns CS into Helvetica.

I don't understand the hostility Perhaps you have missed a lot of Geek's posts to me, as well as Wookiee's posts, regarding my choice of font, color, and Smilies. They have been hostile towards me, so you might want to ask them why they have been so relentless about something so ridiculously trivial. I have been good natured about it, I think. For the most part, I feel I have taken the high road in defending my right as a Forumite to use whatever I wish, as long as the choices are available to me. And, I have (for the most part), tried to take the whole ridiculous topic with humor. Like George, I was having fun, this time around. Anybody who chimes in on my behalf gets my encouragement! :D The bottom line, Stud, is that Geek and Wookiee started this "hostility" in the first place, so they really should be the ones for you to direct that question to... Meanwhile, nice to see ya back! Your presence on the forums is always a pleasure! :welcome:

I happen to do this nearly every day. I wear a pair of regular shorts, not a swim suit. My googles I wear in training are from the past. Once a week I wear my fastest pair of jammers (paid $33.00 for them) and my vanquisher knock offs to treat the witnesses.

Paper swim suits Skinsuit - a slang term for a swimsuit designed to have minimum drag in the water. While many swimmers use the traditional knitted lycra, the newest suit is woven lycra, called a "paper" suit because of its texture. There are continually new styles and fabrics put out on the market.

Good idea. I'm going to show up for practice in one of my paper suits from college. :bolt: Hey now - I wore an almost-paper-suit (Maru Extreme) for my first few summer league meets this year - its 8 years old but I always preferred my now outlawed zipper suits for meets, so its not seen much action. However it made me nervous so I got with the times and bought my TYR kneeskin. I tried to interest my 6 yo in wearing 2 suits last week, as she already realises she swims faster in lycra than endurance suits. But she chose the endurance over 2 thin lycra ones!

Now little kids call them swim diapers. Knelson is that what you are referring to. I know you were a very young swimmer in the old days. Paper thin suits...

Paper suits were what we used to wear for taper meets back in the days before the "tech suits." Basically the material is very similar to the Speedo FS Pro, if you've seen those. Everyone wore briefs and wedged themselves into the smallest size possible. Plumber butt was rampant at taper meets in those days. I think the name stemmed from the fact that the woven material made the suit sort of crinkly like paper.
