(Weekly pass will be even better, but I don't think it exists. Why don't most pools offer monthly or weekly passes by the way?)
Thanks for any tips!

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Brighton is free, but the ocean is over run with jelly fish right now and the water is cold.

The Battery is one of the colder parts of the swim, I think? Crap I put on 7-8 lbs which is huge on me. hahahaha

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Riverbank Park's hours were cut, but have recently been restored, thanks in part to heroic lobbying and petition-gathering by that pool's dedicated lap swimmers. You can find the latest on the park hours at this facebook page.

Hope you enjoy your NYC swimming, at whichever pool you end up at!

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Wow. Very useful! Hope to try some of the places. Regarding Asphalt Green, maybe some of you were citing old prices. According to AG, a guest pass for adult is $35 now! $20 for children.

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Hi all, thanks a lot for the replies. Unless that comes with a dinner or a cheap massage, that is really ridiculous.

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

The Riverbank State Park web site says it going to reduce services or shut down because of a "fiscal crisis." There are many NYC parks pools including John Jay at East 78th Street and Flushing Meadows Park to name only a couple. Flushing (in Queens) is only a few miles farther away from midtown than Riverbank, and it's a new, nice 50M pool, usually set up for 25M. Best of luck.

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Riverbank State Park, 50m morning swim, $1 SENIORS (60+), $2 weekday/$3 Sat/Sun, or $30 for 30 day pass. Hopefully, it's not one of the parks that Gov. Paterson is planning to close (he's been threatening to close 41 state parks :( )

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

Asphalt green is $20 now.
TNYA does a free trail week. after that it is fifteen for a drop in - the going rate in the city. i think it is $137 for unlimited month. check out the web page.
Metro LMSC has a listing of all master swim teams in the New York area.

there are not many pools in the city and they are all really expensive and most are not kept well. I go out to Brooklyn to swim at LIU.

Brighton is free, but the ocean is over run with jelly fish right now and the water is cold.

I miss living in Southern Californis because of the abundance of outdoor pools and super cheap fees.

RE: Cheapest one-day pass in Manhattan?

brighton beach is free
