In a short answer - yes to all of the above. 
Read Ande&amp;#39;s Swim Faster Faster Tips here on the forum - there are more than 250 of them, find a few key ones that resonate with you and go with them. Read the blogs for workout tips, steal them, use them - there are some super fast folks across the forumites so its a great place to pick up some great ideas. 
Keep track of what you do in your workouts, write down your times - anything that you measure can be improved.
