This is the type that works best for me. They don't fit as is though, as I must custom bend them, but they come in two sizes and dirt cheapest.

Unfortunately I seem to constantly loose them

RE: Best nose clip?

Here's one we recommend: shop.theraceclub.com/.../nose-clips.html

Ew, I personally hate silicone nose cilps bc they can slip off.

I use nose clips in most of my races for underwater dolphin kick and this one is by far the best and good for those with smaller noses. www.speedousa.com/competition-nose-clip.shtml

RE: Best nose clip?

Here's one we recommend: shop.theraceclub.com/.../nose-clips.html

RE: Best nose clip?

Also try wearing them "upside down", putting it on from the bottom of your nose so the clip part is in between your nostrils. You might also gently wash your nose to remove all oils so the clip won't slowly slide off. You might also have to "pull" your nose around a bit, the meaty parts of your nostrils, to get the fit right.

I find nose clips exasperating. Most people complain about have a big snoz and large clips, but you would think with billions of people of asian descent, there would be one for more relatively flat nosed/little nosed peopled. I have to yank my nose, practically giving myself a nose-lift, in order to get enough meaty bits to clip onto.

RE: Best nose clip?

Those only pinch the tip of my nose

RE: Best nose clip?

the one on your nose while you're swimming

RE: Best nose clip?

I have tried the Speedo competitionnose plug and it doesnt seal my nose adequately.

They are expensive and appear large/bulky but do not pose a problem when in the pool exercising (wouldn't be good for competing). They are adjustable and lock tight. I sometimes slip into a dork moment, having ordered the pink as well as a matching cap. Uggh, what was I thinking? These are two I use in practice for UW 25's on my back and in competition (50 or 100 back). My favourite is a Speedo metal one which is really strong. I have several of the plastic ones as well but they seem to snap. I have quite a big nose I suppose! the trouble is I can't seem to find the metal ones for sale in the UK anymore. Can you get them in the States??

I haven't seen metal clips. Sounds like they would hurt. Only the latex and silicone. Unless you mean the clippy part is metal, but the "pads" are actually latex or silicone? We do have metal ones like that. I am pretty sure Speedo makes them, but will check for you.

RE: Best nose clip?

I use:

YOu can find metal ones (Bettertimes) on swimoutlet.com
Also, by the posts on this thread, speedo also makes metal ones.

RE: Best nose clip?

I use these: www.swimoutlet.com/.../3951.htm.

I used my pretty pink silicone Speedos today and they never came off once! I actually got used to it pretty quick - it felt great not to get any water up the sinuses, and today the pool was soooo heavily chlorinated, I feel like I swam in Clorox bleach. I may also order the ones Fortress uses. They look pretty secure.
