I did the 400 on Friday during the 1500 because I did not want to destroy myself for the rest of the day on Saturday. I did the 400 on Sat am just to score points for our team.

Great meet so far - I wore the Jaked for all my races. I did rip it in 2 spots, but it was "user error" -- I was very tired after the 400 on Friday and the suit is very difficult to take off over your feet - I just got impatient and used my thumb / nail .... But unlike the Blue 70, a hole is not that big a deal, actually more evidence that this suit is more like a wetsuit than any of the others :). About the suit -- I think it's great, as long as it is dry, I think you lose quite a bit of the effect when it's damp or wet - just a feeling.

Very happy with my 100 - it did help to have 2 guys going 51. to pull me along ...

Long day -:bed:- we also went after 3 relay records - 2 of which we got. We got the best team in the country (if we can get them to go to meets) 400 Free relay 3:41 and 800 Free relay 8:03 as the last event of the day.

Not sure what we got left today - we are going after the 4x50 world record, but that's after my 200 back, 400 IM and 200 Free :applaud:

RE: SPMA Regionals

Event 11 Men 40-44 100 LC Meter Freestyle

I saw the 18:45 seed time on the psych sheet and wondered what was up. Then sure enough, ehoch somehow hit that time squarely after an 1100 warmdown just like when Paul Smith entered the 1000 free with 11:00, went 46 for the first 100, did a 900 warmdown and ended up very close to his entry time. How do you guys figure this stuff out?!?

Never know if that is a good thing or a bad thing - usually people estimate their times slow, not fast. Nothing like hopping in with a guy who lists a 4:50.00 400 free and really swims like a 4:32.09.

RE: SPMA Regionals

VERY fast times, including a new 100 free record for Hochstein, if I am not mistaken. But Dennis Kim's time in the 200 free has to be a misprint. 1:45.0 should be 1:55.00, right? It does look like some really fast times at this meet. I also note Michael Mann's 2:22 in the 200 IM. Thanks for putting it up.

RE: SPMA Regionals

That is what I felt about doing Colonies Zones since I couldn't get to/wanted to put the time and money into doing Clovis.
