I wonder if he would have gone faster had he kept his legs closer together? I think you are asking the wrong question. The thing you need to ask is "I wonder if I would go faster if I keep my legs farther apart?"

That is sick and just plain not fair. I showed that to a non-swimmer and they were speechless - they though it was a trick. That is simply amazing.
