Since watching Fred B on TV at the ultraswim I've really be playing around with the this version of freestyle. He definitely clarified a few things I was wondering about.

It will be interesting to see how well Phelps incorporates Brett's suggestions in the 100 this weekend.

RE: Hawke Talk

OH that's what I'm supposed to look like!!

RE: Hawke Talk

That is very impressive because he doesn't look like he's struggling to get that stroke count. I might start handing out twenties at the YMCA on race day. Maybe it'll help me break a 24 in the 50 free.

RE: Hawke Talk

Whatever you do Rich, it works! Thanks for posting that interview. I really enjoyed it. If those are the kinds of things he does to prepare his swimmers, it's no wonder he so successful.

Although not really comparable to competing at the Olympics, I definitely notice that at large meets and especially nationals I walk and stand much more than I would during the course of a normal day. I try to be conscientious about staying off my feet but I'm rarely successful and my legs are trashed by the end of the day. I think I'll take Brette Hawke's advice and just try to get in walking/standing shape as another avenue of full preparation.
