Here is the exact slogan (I have the CUBU shirt and was wearing it Saturday so maybe I was that guy that Jim saw!): "Be All You Thought You Used To Be" Similarly, the Fairfax County Masters team has a shirt that says, "The Older We Get, The Faster We Were"

Hey Jim- great meeting you this weekend, and nice swimming! That's one of the DC area teams' shirts- maybe someone else knows which team since I can't recall- I think Pwolf or Fort would know, but I think it's closer to your first version: "Be all you used to think you were."

I know which shirt you are talking about. I'm thinking Curl Burke masters, maybe? They were sitting at the deep end, not too far from us.
