Now that would be telling too early! One thing to remember, because of the production schedule and FINA's release of the records on Nov. 1, we our Top 12 is based on the time period from Nov. 1, 2007 to Oct. 31, 2008. Are you sure there are no South Africans?

You trying to scoop us? *grin* The bulk of them have, I believe. Some are harder to contact than others. It is a really diverse set of top 12 swimmers. Japan, Australia, Europe, U.S. Have the winners been notified??

It is a really diverse set of top 12 swimmers. Japan, Australia, Europe, U.S. Are you sure there are no South Africans?

We had six panelists this year. US Jeff Commings Frank "Skip" Thompson Phil Whitten Australia Graham Senders U.K. Verity Dobbie Germany Christa Reinhart We developed a pretty hefty ballot this year (double the normal amount of people that made the cut of either two LCM or mix of three LCM/SCM FINA world records). The voters did a great job!

The names of the Masters swimmers of the year will be announced in our April issue. It's a good list. I was happy to be on the voting panel for this one. I will tell you the vote for top female was very, very close.
