for example 27.5s for 50m freestyle(long course)
1:05.00 for 100m freestyle(long course)....

I mean nationally recognized, ie, if you break this time, you are entitled a *** swimmer

RE: Any time standards for amateur swimmer?

Take a look at the Event Rankings on the USMS web site.

Sweet! I didn't know that existed...I just found out that I had a top 52 time last year!! :laugh2:

RE: Any time standards for amateur swimmer?

The only time swim meet with Qualifying Times are the two National USMS Championships www.usms.org/.../nationals.php . So, if you don't meet the qualifying time listed, does that mean you can't enter the event for that meet? Just curious, because when you look at the event results, there are times far slower than the qualifying times for that event.

RE: Any time standards for amateur swimmer?

Salty,

No, as a Masters swimmer you can enter any three events you wish regardless of time. But if you want to swim up to three additional events (for a total of 6) you have to have met the QTs for those three bonus events.

RE: Any time standards for amateur swimmer?

The only time swim meet with Qualifying Times are the two National USMS Championships www.usms.org/.../nationals.php . But I don't think that there are enough results in all the masters age groups to make it worth the effort to make a chart. otherwise it would be cool to see a time standards for masters.

RE: Any time standards for amateur swimmer?

Take a look at the Event Rankings on the USMS web site.
