I went to the National Senior Games (aka Senior Olympics) in Louisville, KY last year and a company offered to take your picture and put it on a Wheaties Box (for a nominal fee). I don't know how many were sold, but it seems that would be the height of corny vanity.

I got my Frosted Flakes box now....at Giant Eagle supermarket. They had tons of 'em.

One Wal-mart had about 12 boxes. I think they sold out instantly. I would still like to find one.

I just saw a box of frosted flakes with Phelps' face now at Safeway, but it doesn't come with the gold colored tokens to get the poster.

I will never be able to get his picture on a cereal box, I don't like those kind of cereals. Now if he could get his face on an egg I may consider buying a few. Face all over the egg instead of egg all over his face.

Mermaid! Do not open that box of flakes! Buy an oversized Ziplock bag and a canister of argon gas, stick the box into the bag, evacuate all oxygen, replace it with the argon, and stick it in your freezer. Then contact a lawyer and amend your estate to bequeath this to whichever of your children you like best. Upon your demise, that lucky child can sell this on Futuristic eBay for all the money that remains in the United States circa 2062. According to my calculations, this should be about $14.

That sounds like misery to me. I need something to eat before I workout. Well. I have to eat something too before a workout, but not a whole meal! And nothing within 30 minutes before hitting the water, otherwise I upchuck it. And nothing spicy within a couple hours before hitting the water. And no alcohol within a few hours before hitting the water, otherwise upchuck city again. because I refuse to have more than 5 different boxes open at any time. You don't like mixing cereals? I do. I go to town in those hotel breakfast stations where you can mix a whole bunch together. Same with soda fountains. No. Milk and soda pop don't mix. I will never be able to get his picture on a cereal box, I don't like those kind of cereals. It looks like you have to cut his face apart to extract the form.

I did it! I bought the box of Phelps Corn Flakes today. This is my first purchase of corn flakes - I don't even know if I like them. I convinced my kids that this was going to be the best box of breakfast cereal they've ever had. I needed to talk them out of another kind - because I refuse to have more than 5 different boxes open at any time. Please, don't let me down. Now I need to find and save 3 gold tokens and mail them while poster "supplies" last. LOL...that is absolutely excellent! Hurry and get those gold tokens (it sounds like a Willy Wonka movie...)

That sounds like misery to me. I need something to eat before I workout. That's a hard thing for me to swallow (:joker:) as well! I saw the Corn Flakes box also, and I am hoping that he does Cinnamon Toast Crunch next! I would love to see him with the Chefs on the box!

Mary1912, thanks for the tip! I found the Phelps box of Corn Flakes at the Walmart in Milpitas here. It's the first that I've seen anywhere around here. There were three left on the shelf when I got there. I still haven't seen any Frosted Flakes. I thought it was supposed to be the Frosted Flakes that Phelps was getting all the flack from nutritionists. Frankly, I think the nutritionists should shut-up and recommend no breakfast for anyone until they've completed a good morning workout. That should take care of obesity.
