The UT Swim center main pool has a leak. It is almost empty and awaiting repairs. here's the most recent update. Ande "The TSC staff and UT Construction teams have been working hard to find the leak and get us fixed up. Because this is a 40 year old pool and the return lines (where the leak is) are under the pool, it is not an easy fix. They have decided to move forward with rerouting the return lines around the exterior of the pool to prevent this from happening again. This unfortunately means we are making plans through the end of April for sharing the well and alternate pool space. Even with the significant amount of programming, all of the coaches (UT Athletics, TXLA, KHEd, RecSports) have all worked together to minimize the impact on training and we think we have a pretty good schedule. Each coach will reach out with any changes to their individual schedules soon. While sometimes lanes/diving space is reduced, practices times will remain the pretty unaltered (Masters mornings will be scheduled, as usual, based on UT Athletics). ***Note this of course means our two hosted April swim meets are cancelled. Coaches are working on alternate meet opportunities for the age group swimmers.*** On a lighter note, if you haven’t checked out our Facebook and Instagram posts to name/hashtag our “waterless situation” you should! Our members and followers have been very creative… #wickedleaks #savedbythewell #paininthedrain (just to name a few) We remain positive and grateful for the space we do have! how much more does clark have? scary or very scary???Hopefully, a lot, and hopefully a lot in LCM. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does at NCAAs, but even more looking forward to Trials to see what he can do there in the 4 & 1500, as well as how fast he can be in the 200.

John Smith isn't legendary? :bolt: John was very accomplished, as a freshman he was on the 1981 NCAA team where UT won Div 1 NCAAs for the 1st time. He was an excellent classical pianist, drew some magnificent images on the locker room chalkboard, and had an incredible work ethic in the pool, I remember seeing him do some remarkable stuff in practice. I think he got 2nd in the 200 fr at NCAAs and all his years at UT he was a key member of many relays.
