I would be offended if my coach lacked the civility and sportsmanship to share his training methods with others. Big deal. Oh and he got paid to do it to. Should he work for free?

The Chinese swimmers this year didn't look like men like they did in Barcelona in 1992. They seemed to have a woman's body this year. I remember those Chinese girls from Barcelona and man, they looked like they were on superroids. I just didn't see that at these games. No drug cheat these days who's worth their salt would look overtly different than any clean athlete.

I'm sure he was being paid very well to coach Jessica. Swimming in Australia is like football is in the US.

Poor Jessica!! That has got to hurt....being sold out by your own coach. That's just wrong. If I were Jessica, I'd be looking for a new coach!:shakeshead:

Project 119 Ostensibly, the Chinese flyers are the product of project 119, a government program to increase China's medal intake in their off events. Sounds like they bought Wood's training regimen for the program.

Has anyone seen this? www.swimnetwork.com/.../schipper_s_coach_admits_selling_training_program-1198.html I read that this morning and I was disgusted. I wonder how Schipper is feeling after hearing about this. Well, now she has potentially been "robbed" of a gold medal - maybe he will give her a cut of that BIG MONEY. What a jerk.

Sort of the feeling of being sold out! Jess has been with Ken Woods for years, and is very loyal to him. I wish I could say the same about him to Jess. Always, always money talks!!!:shakeshead:

Just a niggling correction, the bad touch happened at Worlds in Montreal in 2005 not in Athens.

Once your program is under that suspicion, it will always be under that stigma. I for one wondered about that myself, remembering the past sins of the Chinese swimmers.

I too am very suspicious of that 1-2 finish by the Chinese women. I enjoyed the article and agree with much of it. No sour grapes here ... I'm not Australian and I'm Chinese American!
