Linda, Well, the butterfly events went really well for me considering it was just my second meet in over a year and half. 50 fly- 24.8 100 fly 53.73 (25.70 / 28.03) 200 fly 2:01.60 (27.5/31.6/31.4/31.2) I know I could have been around 1:57 in 200 fly but not swimming it for yr and half made me a little hesitant. I went for a nice pace for most part. Had plenty left in tank but I admit, was a little worried about that race. I have meet at end of month back at Miami Univ. Its the Senior USS meet. I will go after the 200 fly there. Will you be going to the meet at Ohio State in April? Greg

Hey Greg, How did the meet go for you? I had some good times and so not so good times. Was not disappointed though. I did the 100 backstroke for the 1st time. It was ok. Just used to swimming it as part of the 400 IM so I had trouble getting my arms to turn over to make it a sprint. Absolutely loved swimming the 1650. I went 23:17. I was very happy with that. I entered with a 24:00 thinking that was wishful thinking on my part. I held my splits at 42s and 43s. I am totally hooked and ready to swim it again. I think I can go faster. Linda

Linda, See you there. I will be deck entering and will also be doing the 1650, unless its filled up. Hmm, what are chances of that lol Have a safe trip and see you tomorrow. greg

Hey Greg, I will be at this meet. A few of us from my team (CSI) are going to come over. No fly for me at this meet. Needing to change things up. I am going to attempt my 1st ever 1650. See you tomorrow. Linda

Yep. I have swam a few USS meets there at OSU. It is new pool, 2yr olds or so. Very nice complex and fast pool. I will be at that Ohio State meet in April. Actually heard they are trying to get a masters Nationals there. Will see if that happens or not. Greg

I live in St. Louis now, but grew up a Buckeye, and am thinking about going to the Ohio State meet on April 12. Not this one, though. Have you swum in the OSU pool? I understand it's new or newish.

The Bill and Mae McClorkle Aquatic Pavilion can be seen at the Ohio State Men's Swimming home page at the following site. Very nice facility.
