Day one, you have to do a synchro routine in a sparkly costume to music, then a 50 free, then a 25m underwater swim, followed by 200m butterfly. Day two, some kind of water polo where everyone plays as an individual instead of as a team, then platform diving, then 100m backstroke, then 400 free. Day three....

RE: Decathlon?

The Allegheny Mountain YMCA Masters Swimming Association www.amymsa.org has a similar concept called the High Point Competition. Points are awarded for placement within age and gender brackets. The points accumulate throughout the season - Sept through March.

There is also the Iron Person Competition (similar to the USMS checkoff challenge)

And the Marathon Swim, in which you tally you total yardage (from practice, etc.) during the season. (similar to USMS Go the Distance) Points are awarded for being the first in your age group to complete the Iron Person
Competition.

RE: Decathlon?

www.britishswimming.org/.../0,10853,5157-183850-201068-nav-list,00.html

RE: Decathlon?

I would like to try something like this!

RE: Decathlon?

USA Swimming does something similar with their IM Extreme Competition:
