They were my first goggles. At some point I switched to the Speedo Sprints, which served me well throughout the rest of my swimming career. When I got back in the pool earlier this year, I discovered that the Sprints of today are not the same. I was pretty happy with the foam gasket Speedo GCGs but they seem to have been discontinued. Now I use Vanquishers, but maybe I should get some of these for old times sake.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

Patrick W. Even with shipping fees that are more than the cost of the goggles, they're cheap. I find spit works great as anti-fog

I'd like to add no spitting on the sidewalk to the PAC.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

WOW !!! You can find them here:

www.swimx.com/com1swimgog.html

I'll wear any type of goggles that work for me. I have a couple of pair (Cayman) that I purchased at Big Lots, and Wallgreens. They work, I paid $5.00 and they have lasted more than a year without defects.

Speedo has these new $90.00 goggles that feel real nice in the store. Too rich for me. I'll keep my current goggles thank you very much.

store.speedo.com/.../goggles

I use Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo as my anti-fog solution for my goggles. Works just fine.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

Water Gear is making them now using the same molds as Hind and with the signature green strap. I've emailed Swim Outlet and Kiefer and they just say they don't carry them anymore.

Count me in......................
Not so much for the Compy PAC thing but for the lining up against a wall and execution of those who don't use their turn signals (or leave them ON when going straight) or throw cigarette butts or coffee cups out of their car window or use the "must" exit lane to jump the queue in the slower moving lane or use the through-going lane to cut into the slow, congested exit lane or .................... the list is endless.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

What brought this on? I'm in! Nothing beats the Compy. I bought 20 pairs last year just in case they quit producing. It's about the only thing I own that is a good value.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

What brought this on?

Mea culpa. I bashed Kurt for his endorsement of Hind Compies in the poll someone posted about "what goggles would you buy?" or whatever it is.

By the way, I'd like to add harsh penalties for drivers who insist on driving slow in the passing lane to the PAC agenda.

RE: Attn: Hind Compy Goggle Haters

As a matter of fact, I have started a PAC for Hind Compy supporters. Have you formed a PAC to ensure the production of the Compy continues unabated? :)

I'm only kidding, of course. I've just always found it a little funny that people have such dedication to a product like this. You're certainly not the only Compy guy out there, Kurt, I've seen quite a few, so there's obviously something about that goggle people like.

My only gripes with those older type goggles is the foam eye gaskets, which I feel pack out and lose their effectiveness much more quickly than neoprene or whatever it is they use on the Vanquishers, etc. Also the latex strap, but as you said that is easily replaced with a silicone one when it wears out.

I agree any goggle advertised as "anti-fog" is a joke and should be completely ignored. I, for one, don't really think goggles fogging up is that much of a concern.
