I was just about to ask for suit recommendations for those who have less....um, junk in the trunk as you might say haha.

For me, the newer 'cut-out' style suits have been a godsend due to the skimpier rear, but too often the skinny straps dig into my back causing some not so flattering bulge action. Not to mention that my love handles are completely exposed as well lol. But it is a sacrifice I have made to avoid the saggy bubble butt that practically covers my entire backside up to my waist! I will forever be wearing junior-sized jeans as well......sigh.

I really wish Speedo would make an Endurance version of their original FS Pro Recordbreaker cut  Will look into the Yingfas!

RE: Women's Locker Room

I have seen some very large ladies get into a size small or medium. Hello Halsey, good to 'read' you! Welcome and enjoy! I find this place gives me much motivation!

ps.. George and Elaine, thanks for the suit-tips! No more bubble butt!! the mesh liner in the back works like a charm, though I do find the bottom to be slightly loose so that I find myself "pulling it down" every once in awhile, though it's not so much that I can't use it! :) I may order one size down next time though. :)

I wear speedo endurance and finds this happens once the suit is a bit older and starting to stretch out. The one I have now is being retired at the end of this week and has been causing bubble-butt for some time now, but only on the first couple of lengths. Once it has got all wet and stuck in place it's fine!

RE: Women's Locker Room

Elaine you do have a very long torso if I remember right???

RE: Women's Locker Room

Some suits are designed with a mesh seam down the back which allows air and water to escape.

RE: Women's Locker Room

Elaine you do have a very long torso if I remember right???

No, not disproportionately long; I have long legs and long arms, too. Uhhh, yeah. Yingfa are made by the Chinese, and, evidently for the Chinese- and their tiny butts. I'm 5'71/2", weigh 121 pounds, and wear a XXXL, just to cover my butt, so I wouldn't :mooning:. I would have preferred a XXL otherwise, but it was just too small in the butt. And, I don't have a big butt! :bitching:

RE: Women's Locker Room

Some suits are designed with a mesh seam down the back which allows air and water to escape.

A racer-back style suit, where the back is completely enclosed may eliminate this problem for you. I own a couple of older Nike racer-back suits and don't experience any trapped air or water during dives or turns.

RE: Women's Locker Room

Thanks for the link, the suits are reasonably priced too, though I have to admit it's a little daunting to have to order a suit sized XXL?!,

Jeanette, meet George, of www.swimdownhill.com. Seriously, he has great suits at great prices- and great customer service! I use my Yingfa for competition, however, I'm sure he can hook you up with a great, non-bubble butt training suit! :agree:

RE: Women's Locker Room

OK, so do any of you women out there experience the dreaded 'bubble butt' syndrome with certain swimsuits?

I have a few that chronically fill with air during a flip turn and hold that bubble while swimming the next 25yds.... only to be released (sometimes) at the other side in one fell----bloooooop!

I can only imagine what anyone catching a glimpse of this phenomenon might think! LOL

:mooning:

Any suggestions for fixing this? or any particular suit styles that work better than others for this? I usually get the grab bag suits, but might be willing to pay full price if I know this wouldn't happen.

Sometimes this issue becomes rather distracting to my swimming!

Try one of George's Yingfa suits at www.swimdownhill.com . Yingfa suits are cut so small in the butt, there is NO chance for a bubble butt!

I usually train in a Speedo Endurance (50% poly/ 50% PBT) suit and have never had the bubble butt syndrome. And, those suits last a loooong time. :applaud:

RE: Women's Locker Room

OK, so do any of you women out there experience the dreaded 'bubble butt' syndrome with certain swimsuits?
