Noodler

Good links.  Although I am familiar with about 90-95% of those terms...just hadn&amp;#39;t seen &amp;quot;noodler&amp;quot; before but it makes perfect sense now that it&amp;#39;s been explained :D

Noodler
 
Probably a stupid question, but what/who exactly is a Noodler?
 
 
My understanding:
 
Generally: someone not swimming laps or intervals. Usually setting off just as you head into a turn. Head up breaststroke.
 
Specifically: some with one of those floaty noodles doing exercises/lounging/getting in the way in the water. Glares when spashed even though surrounded by water.
 
So a noodler in a lap lane gets a little annoying...
 
The remedy: splashy fly or crawl...
 
If you experience regular noodling you should consult your aquatic director.
