What makes them think she didn't see it? Was she supposed to stop swimming and scream or something? If you swim open water in clear water I imagine you get pretty acclimated to swimming with marine life of all sizes.

Why, yes. Scream, or at least speed up significantly!

RE: Neat Video

What makes them think she didn't see it? What I found amazing is that the Ray had Lap Swimming etiquette down pat too. They passed on each other's left... :D

RE: Neat Video

There are some weird things underwater and it is a good thing not to see them. A friend snorkelling off Boca De Iguana met face to face with Poncho the 14 foot croc. He swam away from it and got behind some rocks. There he found a baby whale and a couple of minutes later the baby whales mother appeared. He left the water in a hurry.

RE: Neat Video

(Sorry I posted this twice, I'm not sure how to erase it, just edit!) Aha, that's it! They realized the swimmer and the ray didn't see each other because otherwise the swimmer would have stopped and asked the ray whether it wanted to circle-swim or split the lane :)

RE: Neat Video

What makes them think she didn't see it?
