Nothing really that different, just swimming harder to get out of my comfort zone and move a little faster.

It may not have been swimming related soreness at all. I just heard that our mold count here in St. Louis is off the chart and we've had some very hot and dusty days - mold and dust totally do me in. The pain was almost like you feel when you're coming down with something so I'm thinking it was allergy related but I sure did feel like crap for awhile.

RE: DOMS

To me pain is not normal. I have had pain after a 15 mile or longer race. This of course was from trying to come first.

When I trained I never put maximum strain on the muscles. But the workouts I see others doing I do not know how they do it (Ande).

I was always a believer in technique rather than force.

RE: DOMS

I'll get it occasionally in my triceps and lats after a real hard 1650/1500 or long open water swim.

RE: DOMS

Sometimes, my triceps and/or glutes to hamstrings get sore after intense swimming workouts.
