Swimming and weight lifting is synonymous. I weight trained my entire life. Trust me when I tell you this. That is why my weight room training fell to 10%

My upper body strength is as good or better than when I lifted heavy and often. Leg strength suffered, that is why I still have to devote some time to them.

RE: Strength and cardio training ratio's?

My training week consists of 90% in the weight room and the other 10% running or swimming and /or biking

RE: Strength and cardio training ratio's?

I think the 90/10 ratio is time not weight. (e.g. 18 hours in the weight room and 2 hours in the pool).

I’m closer to 100/0 or 90/10 swimming to weights. My son (who is a real swimmer) is closer to 70% swimming, 30% weights/drylands.
