You will find a variety of organizations, depending a lot on the personality and strengths of the coaching and office staff and on who owns the club. In our town, we have a coach owned program of about 200 kids, with a head coach, 2 salaried assistant coaches, 2 part time assistant coaches and an office manager. Each coach is responsible for 1 or more groups of kids (based on age and skill) and they have other responsibilities for team and meet management.

For more in depth information on club development, may I suggest you get in touch with Pat Hogan at USA Swimming? Pat is responsible for USA Swimming’s club development and has a wealth of information to share.<div style="clear:both;"></div>
