Wow, a man among men. What really amazes me is that he did not come down with some sort of tropical sickness from the river. All I have to do is think hard about anything south of the border and my insides start to rumble. Which stinks since I had lots of fun down there back in the day.... Got Boost

My husband asked what was the current? I said, "Then that's not swimming, it's riding a current!" However, maybe the accomplishment is more that he isn't DEAD! :confused:

Yea he made it. I can't believe it. I honestly thought he would die. So major props to him!!!

There are a couple of threads here about him, Karen; one started by Warren I think. (Warren made the bold prediction that he either quits or dies trying LOL) There are a number of links in the thread with updates and photos. Not my cup of tea...especially after reading about the urethra burrowing fish...but bully for him.

Look him up--he's amazing. Martin Strel. Maybe a little crazy, but he's done similar swims for several years. He's hardcore to the max.
