Normally, I get stung really bad and am out of the H2O for about a week, but I had remembered to put on that Safe Sea lotion, specifically for sea lice and jellies and I only have about 10 stings on me. Miracle product. But I didn't put much on my face and my lip is all puffed up, oh well. Manana will swim across the bay instead of out into the ocean to avoid them.:D

Yesterday (Sunday) I was washing all of my windows and the glass sliding doors between our two smaller bedrooms. After all the years of rain and no new deck boards, I didn't notice they were "giving" way. I stepped into a weak one and fell through the deck boards, bounced off the yard fence onto gravel 15 feet below and didn't break anything. However, I am heavily bruised and have lots of wood scrapes, but after a few hours, I went and swam a 3 mile swim. It was fabulous: until today. I woke up feeling like I had been in a car accident and am bruised that dark purple/yellow color all over my legs and back. Not only didn't swim today, but walking was painful. The good news: I am not injured, just REALLY banged up so I will go swim tomorrow.

Just had to rant and gripe because had I looked more carefully, I wouldn't have stepped on those boards. My husband said: Gee, I didn't think those boards were that bad! So, until those boards are replaced, we will have dirty glass sliding doors.

Wow Donna! I'm sorry you fell! You're lucky you didn't break some bones! Thanx, SS. If something good comes from this, I will be amazed. My wife kept asking me if I thought I was going to die. Then when she really got worried, she'd ask, "Do you want to die or for me to get you to the doctor?"

She had hurt her back days earlier and spent 4 hour in the ER and no one saw her. It was clogged with non-insurance, illegal aliens and prisoner, and folks looking for free care. I couldn't see reason to go there when I could just as easily and more comfortably die at home.

I was swimming today and saw them, they have arrived so had to cut my swim short. EECK-it was the brown thumbnails, they always come first followed by a round of clear jellies with long tentacles and then the dreaded Sea Lice. Those are the worse because they are so tiny, they look like splinters of wood in the water but get in your swimsuit and sting the H**** out of you. So now I have a distance interruption (and I will also have this next year), so back to my friend Pam's pool. But it is only 33 yds long but I suppose better than being drydocked!! The bar seems like fair enough compensation to me Donna LOL! Hopefully the jellyfish will be a somewhat temporary ordeal?
