Mary, you know any time you need anything I'm there for you my Oregon sister!

I'm looking forward to the postman coming today. Maybe I'll get a nice little package from Oregon :)

Nancy, I'm glad you like the logo.

Glad you enjoyed the clinic... Chris loves to do stuff like that. We had a blast at Bloomington. You'll have to introduce yourself to me again at the next meet! :) We'll be (all 3 of us) at St. Charles North and at Fenwick in addition to State. Yep, Meggie will be at State, but only on Sunday. My sister and brother-in-law are watching her on Saturday. A whole day with no baby at a swim meet? Not hearing crying and "Mommmmaaaa" as I stand on the blocks? The ability to warm up and swim down whenever I want???? Oh my! I have a question... I haven't joined yet, but would like to. Should I just wait until the end of March and submit my yardage? Do the yards I did in January and February not count, since I wasn't signed up for Go the Distance at that time? Or do I submit the Jan and Feb yards in some other way? (Ok, that was 3 questions.)

Thanks for any help and again, very cool program!

Hi Carrie -
Please join the fun and festivities as soon as you can! You can send me your mileage for January and February whenever you get a chance and it will count! Please let me know your age as of 12/31/07 and usms id too. Then at the end of March all you need to do is let me know how far you swam this month - easy eh?

I'm glad to hear you are interested ... the more folks we have participating the more encouraged and motivated we all become!

I hope to hear from you soon!

There were a few late entries that didn't make it into the February results. If yours was one of them - please rest assured that your mileage will count and you will see it posted in the March Results!

There were two participants that entered (well before the deadline) but there was a slight mix-up of email addresses so I didn't get them until it was too late to put in the February results ... so I would like to mention them here.

Dom (from AZ) swam a whopping 45.09 miles in February giving him a year to date total of 94.78 miles. I can't help but think that by now he's passed the "100 Miles" milestones - so congratulations to you Dom! Wooo hooo!

And August Zupka is now up to 31.64 miles ...March may be the month for him to reach the "50 Miles" distance milestone - go for it August!

By the way, the awards for the distance milestones achieved are color coded. So if you see a light blue swim cap or patch it is for those who have swum “50 miles”. The same awards are orange for “100 miles” and kelly green for “250 miles”. So now you can tell who at your pool has gone the distance! I’ll reveal the higher milestone colors as soon as someone achieves them … stay tuned .... it shouldn’t take long!

Happy Swimming in March to everyone who is "going the distance"!

Because of this event, I have become totally consistent with swimming 3 times a week, and making those swims a touch longer each week!!

I know this has helped me become stronger and a very tiny bit faster!! I have been paying attention to form and working on steady and strong strokes. I have a lot more to work on, but getting to the pool 3 times a week gives me the venue and the time to do it.
